Project Brief: The Predictive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Triage System in Emergencies Project in Uke and Karu Wards of Karu LGA, Nasarawa State 2026, implemented by Hushaid Healthcare in partnership with Global Resilience, is being aligned with ongoing flood risk dynamics in the area. The project is addressing critical gaps in access to timely SRHR services during flood-related emergencies by deploying predictive, data-driven systems that are identifying vulnerable populations and prioritizing care in real time, particularly in flood-prone and hard-to-reach communities. The initiative is strengthening healthcare response capacity by supporting frontline workers, integrating flood early warning systems into SRHR service planning, and improving emergency referral pathways during periods of displacement and infrastructure disruption. Essential services such as maternal healthcare, family planning, and gender-based violence (GBV) support are being maintained through adaptive, risk-informed strategies. Through coordinated stakeholder engagement and community-based approaches, the project is ensuring inclusive, efficient, and context-responsive service delivery in flood-affected settings. Overall, the project is applying an integrated and climate-sensitive approach that is combining predictive analytics, flood risk assessment, community systems, and institutional strengthening to reduce vulnerability, improve health outcomes, and enhance resilience in Uke and Karu communities.
